TRANSPORT

Travel with consideration

The main emissions in connection with an event usually occur during transport to and from the event. Make climate-smart choices to reduce the carbon footprint of your travel. The Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre is located in central Gothenburg and is easily accessible by public transport. For travel to Gothenburg from other cities, we recommend that you choose a transportation option with the environment in mind.

ACCOMMODATION

Live in comfort – just a lift ride from the event

Our exhibition and congress facility has two eco-certified hotels – Gothia Towers and Upper House – all under the same roof. By choosing one of these accommodations, you avoid unnecessary travel, which reduces your carbon footprint and your stress level. Our hotels are strategically located within walking distance to the city centre and close to public transportation. We are certified according to ISO 20121, the international standard for event sustainability management.

FOOD

Eat well and climate concious

Food accounts for 30 per cent of our total carbon footprint and is therefore an important area of focus. We perform climate calculations for all food served at our centre to reduce our carbon footprint, and we ensure that meals are produced with consideration for the environment. Our cafés and restaurants always offer vegetarian options, so visitors can easily make sustainable choices with less impact on the environment.

WATER

Be smart when quenching your thirst

We recommend that our visitors choose tap water instead of bottled water. Producing and delivering one litre of bottled water emits around 300 times as much CO2 as tap water. Bring along a reusable water bottle and fill it at one of our water stations.

ACCESSIBILITY

An event for everyone

We aim to ensure that our events are accessible to everyone. Therefore, we are continuously working to make our facilities more accessible to visitors with disabilities. Support persons and personal assistants, for instance, have free entry to events, and assistance dogs are welcome.
